Resumo: Since knowledge was systematized, research in geography has tended to describe and analyze spatial objects and people as homogeneous clusters rather than as bodies under multiple intersectionalities and social diversities, i.e. under comprehensive categories and/or quantifications. Social plurality and its deeper layers were gradually flattened in the reproduction and microscale of everyday life. The aim of this text is to clarify this trend in geography research and highlight the movement that became stronger in science in the cultural and spatial turn in which “homogeneous” individuals are seen and studied as social subjects, with bodies situated in time and space, with biographies, desires, and various feelings. We present the possibility of transposing a geography of the singular into a geography of the plural, homogeneity into the consideration of differences, individuals who make up a population into the analyses of the corporificated social subjects that integrate the process of space production.
