The various social transformations create constant changes in urban and geographic dynamics, emerging in new formations and human connections when it comes to discussing the city, its territory and belonging. For social agents, called by Corrêa (1995) as excluded social groups, that is, living in a situation of social vulnerability and constant struggle for the right to the city and housing, support often comes through support networks, constituted in the actions of social movements. The formation of social movements and intensification of studies on their form of action and their political and social role, at the end of the 20th century, enabled geography as a science to have a more critical view and also increasingly closer to man and his interventions in the world space. This interface has been allowing transformations through social actions, both in the geography of space and in the construction of geographic thinking.
