This dissertation proposes a new standard for social projects, focused on elaboration and management and based on the concepts of Total Quality and Total Quality Management, while taking into consideration the methodologies of the Project Management Institute, Inc. PMI and Logical Framework. It reviews the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility, its historical trajectory and the current social indicators that most companies use to render accounts to their shareholders. This paper also assesses the role of the third social sector amid these paradigm shifts, where sponsors require reliability, transparency and precise responses in the management of social projects. This is possible through the evaluations, oversight and rendering of accounts to be performed by the managers with the participation of the beneficiaries. To decide which path to take in order to achieve the proposed objective, two methods are employed: Action Research and Scientific Investigation, which consists in a bibliographic review and the proposal of a new vision, based on the experience and interference of the authors. In the aim of contributing to third sector organizations to help them elaborate social projects with greater ease, and thereby enable them to increase their chances of obtaining funding for such projects, this work discusses PMI and Logical Framework tools and/or methodologies, presents their definitions and identifies paths to help accomplish this task. In summary, it proposes a new methodology for presenting and elaborating social projects while taking the third sector s reality into consideration.
