Resumo: The Portuguese novel Trans iberic love (2013) tells the story of Maria, born during the Carnation Revolution and transgender José, born in the 1990s, who grow up in the midst of the economical and emotional austerity caused by a neoliberalist crisis throughout the 2000s and 2010s, which engage them into fighting for an anticapitalist, queer and questioning revolution in opposition to the ideals of heteronormative societies. Raquel Freire writes a coming of age novel that reflects upon the status of LGBTQ+ militia, as well as the recent process of denationalization of Portuguese literature. We intend to read Freire’s novel along with poststructuralist and queer theoretical voices, so that we can examine how her work contributes with new questioning horizons for the current conjuncture of LGBTQ+ movements. ---DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22409/abriluff2018n21a509.

---DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22409/abriluff2018n21a509.ABEC Brasil2018-12-09info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionPeer-reviewed ArticleArtigo avaliado por paresapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uff.br/revistaabril/article/view/2997210.22409/abriluff.v10i21.29972ABRIL – NEPA / UFF; Vol. 10 No. 21 (2018): New writings, new epistemologies; 165-179Abril – NEPA / UFF; v. 10 n. 21 (2018): Novas escrituras, novas epistemologias; 165-1791984-209010.22409/abriluff.v10i21reponame:Abril (Niterói)instname:Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)instacron:UFFporhttps://periodicos.uff.br/revistaabril/article/view/29972/17513Copyright (c) 2018 Abril – NEPA / UFFinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMassucatto Resende, Marcelo Branquinho2019-08-09T09:34:34Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/29972Revistahttps://periodicos.uff.br/revistaabrilPUBhttps://periodicos.uff.br/revistaabril/oairevistaabril@vm.uff.br||nepa@vm.uff.br||uffnepa@gmail.com||idafalves@gmail.com1984-20901984-2090opendoar:2019-08-09T09:34:34Abril (Niterói) - Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)false
