Resumo: | This thesis is inserted in “Education, Work and Social Movements” Research Line of the Post Graduation Program in Education of the Federal University of Goiás State. The purpose of this study was to analyze the condition of the scholar attendant to children of rural environment from Sinop city, located in Mato Grosso Legal Amazon, agricultural frontier area. In 2012 it was done the empirical research and the data was collected by observation in three municipal schools that attend children from rural workers. Two of the schools was urban and one was rural. The observation was transcribed on a field notebook it also was made interview with children, parents, teachers, coordinators and schools headmasters, managers from different sectors of Municipal Schools Office and the president of the rural farmers and rural workers Cooperative. This research is theoretical-methodological based on Bourdieu‟s theory of practice and it is emphasized during the analysis and systematization of this work and also is emphasized the meanings of the school to the subjects that are into the school community. The analysis showed us that there are gaps between what are the State obligation and the conditions of the scholar attendant. The supply of transport is precarious and is the only possibility to children access the school. The school as a public, democratic and full of rights and learning space, remains challenging the public policy of school attendance to children of rural workers in Sinop city-MT. |

O objetivo do estudo foi analisar as condições do atendimento escolar para as crianças do meio rural, a partir do município de Sinop-MT, situado na Amazônia Legal Matogrossense, região de fronteira agrícola. A pesquisa empírica foi realizada no ano de 2012 e teve como estratégias metodológicas a observação em três escolas municipais que atendem crianças filhas de trabalhadores rurais, sendo duas urbanas e uma rural, mediante descrições em caderno de campo e transcrições de entrevistas com crianças, pais, professores, coordenadores e diretores das escolas, gestores de diferentes setores da SME, presidente da cooperativa de produtores rurais e trabalhadores rurais. Pensar o espaço social com a teoria da prática de Bourdieu e comentadores é a fundamentação teórico-metodológica para a realização da pesquisa e para a análise e sistematização dos dados, enfatizando os sentidos da escola para os sujeitos que compõem a comunidade escolar. As análises produzidas permitem afirmar que há lacunas entre o que é dever do Estado e as condições de atendimento escolar. O precário oferecimento do transporte escolar é a única possibilidade de acesso das crianças à escola.
