Modelagem matemática e interdisciplinaridade: possibilidades e desafios na construção de um projeto de hortas em escolas rurais do Distrito Federal-Brasil

Resumo: In times of the Coronavirus pandemic, all sectors of society were strongly affected, especially public education, where students and teachers were even more affected by the lack of technological resources for distance learning, compared to the reality experienced in private education. In the search for alternatives for the face-to-face return at the end of the pandemic, this work aims to build a proposal for the implementation of vegetable gardens in schools in the Federal District, using mathematical modeling, promoting, based on interdisciplinary work, the participation of teachers of different disciplines in search of a pleasant and healthy teaching in the life of these communities. In parallel with the implementation of the vegetable Garden project at the school, we investigated the perceptions of 80 teachers from eight schools of the Regional Teaching Coordination of São Sebastião-DF on the Interdisciplinary methodologies and Mathematical Modeling through two questionnaires, the first questionnaire being more comprehensive for all teachers and the second more specific for mathematics teachers. Excel was used for descriptive statistical analysis. We saw that 70% of the teachers have more than 10 years of experience, and that 78% of them aspire, at some point, to lead a project of this nature in their school. The major obstacle to the implementation of these interdisciplinar projects seems to be linked to the lack of preparation in relation to the methodology of interdisciplinarity. As for mathematical modeling, we saw that 85% know and are interested in working with the topic. The project achieved results superior to those initially proposed, even though it was greatly hampered by the short time after the reopening of face-to-face classes due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Na busca de alternativas para o retorno presencial ao final da pandemia, este trabalho tem o objetivo de construir uma proposta para a implantação de hortas em escolas do Distrito Federal, usando a modelagem matemática, promovendo, a partir do trabalho interdisciplinar, a participação de professores de diversas disciplinas em busca de um ensino prazeroso e salutar na vida dessas comunidades. Paralelamente, à implantação do projeto de hortas na escola, investigamos as percepções de 80 professores de oito escolas da Coordenação Regional de Ensino de São Sebastião-DF sobre as metodologias Interdisciplinaridade e Modelagem Matemática por meio de dois questionários, sendo o primeiro questionário mais abrangente para todos professores e o segundo mais específico para os professores de matemática. Foi usado o Excel para análises estatísticas descritivas. Vimos que 70% dos professores têm mais de 10 anos de experiência e que 78% deles almejam, em algum momento, capitanear um projeto dessa natureza em sua escola. O grande entrave para implantação desses projetos interdisciplinares parece estar ligado ao despreparo em relação à metodologia da interdisciplinaridade. Quanto à modelagem matemática, vimos que 85% conhecem e têm interesse em trabalhar com o tema.
