This article focuses in the scientific field a reflection on the centenary educational praxis of the educator Paulo Freire. Therefore, as a methodological approach, a bibliographic analysis of a qualitative nature is used, when reviewing the striking aspects of the work, in order to highlight the literature of classics by Paulo Freire and other authors who researched his vast work. According to the historical context of education, Freiriana pedagogy stands out, hitherto disliked by the conservative class, as it does not correspond to the dominant interests, but of paramount importance as a practice aligned with autonomy, dialogue, and the humanitarian relationship. Furthermore, to commemorate the centenary of this great educator in the midst of an established pandemic is to try to believe more in the human being, in love and in a more dialogical society for all, despite the straight lines and curves interposed, especially in the Brazilian educational path.
