Resumo: The article aims to describe and make an overview of Ifac's national and local student assistance policies, with a view to the permanence and success of quota students. Documentary and bibliographical research was used, through a qualitative and exploratory approach. After analyzing and reading the selected material, the data were examined according to Minayo (2016). It was observed that since the beginning of its activities, Ifac has shown concern for students based on the development of actions listed in the Pnaes Decree and which, by reformulating its regulations, favored the promotion of the permanence and success of its students with institutional policy, as an example, based on the implementation of socioeconomic support programs, contributing to the permanence and success of quota students. Se utilizó investigación documental y bibliográfica, a través de un enfoque cualitativo y exploratorio. Luego de analizar y leer el material seleccionado, los datos fueron examinado según Minayo (2016). Se observó que desde el inicio de sus actividades, Ifac ha mostrado preocupación por los estudiantes a partir del desarrollo de las acciones previstas en el Decreto del Pnaes y que, al reformular su reglamento, favorecieron la promoción de la permanencia y el éxito de sus estudiantes con la política institucional, como ejemplo, a partir de la implementación de programas de apoyo socioeconómico, contribuyendo a la permanencia y éxito de los estudiantes cupos. PALABRAS CLAVE: Atención al Estudiante; Permanencia; Éxito; Instituto Federal de Acre.Este artigo tem como objetivo descrever e fazer um panorama das políticas de assistência estudantil de âmbito nacional e local do Ifac, com vistas à permanência e ao êxito de alunos cotistas. Foi utilizada a pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa e de cunho exploratório. Após a análise e leitura do material selecionado, os dados foram examinados conforme Minayo (2016). Observou-se que, desde o início de suas atividades, o Ifac demonstra a preocupação com os alunos a partir do desenvolvimento de ações elencadas no Decreto Pnaes e que, ao reformular seus normativos, favoreceu a promoção da permanência e o êxito de alunos com a política institucional como exemplo, a partir da execução de programas de apoio socioeconômico, contribuindo para a permanência e êxito de alunos cotistas.
