STUDENT ASSISTANCE POLICY OF THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TOCANTINS: an analysis from the instituüonal documents

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to analyze the implementation of the Student Assistance Policy at the Federal University of Tocantins based on the institutional documents, based on the bibliographic review. The research is characterized as descriptive, qualitative approach, using documentary research as a technique for data collection. The results showed that since the creation of the UFT Student Assistance Policy, in 2005, the programs offered were modified, seeking to cover all areas of the PNAES, but this policy is still far from ideal. The analysis of the institutional reports shows the growth of the Student Assistance Policy of the UFT and the ways of management for its consolidation, but with respect to the transparency of the information, improvements are necessary.

La investigación se caracteriza como descriptiva, de abordaje cualitativo, utilizando la investigación documental como técnica para la recolección de datos. Los resultados demostraron que desde la creación de la Política de Asistencia Estudiantil de la UFT, en 2005, los programas ofrecidos fueron modificados, buscando abarcar todas las áreas del PNAES, sin embargo, esa política aún se encuentra por debajo del ideal. El análisis de los informes institucionales muestra el crecimiento de la Política de Asistencia Estudiantil de la UFT y los caminos de la gestión para su consolidación, pero con relación a la transparencia de las informaciones son necesarias mejoras.    O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a implantação da Política de Assistência Estudantil na Universidade Federal do Tocantins a partir dos documentos institucionais, fundamentados na revisão bibliográfica. A pesquisa se caracteriza como descritiva, de abordagem qualitativa, utilizando a pesquisa documental como técnica para coleta de dados. Os resultados demonstraram que desde a criação da Política de Assistência Estudantil da UFT, em 2005, os programas oferecidos foram modificados, buscando abranger todas as áreas do PNAES, porém, essa política ainda se encontra aquém do ideal.
