Thinking about Phys Ed teacher education practices

Resumo: In order to approach the crucial issues that come about when defining what the themes for professional teacher education may be, one could identify and describe Phys Ed curricular designs, or else study the problems that come about when these designs are implemented. However, neither approach is taken in this paper, because a third, yet different perspective is put forward: that of considering several important issues running through the articulation of both curricular design and teacher education practices. At the end, we present several aspects that were brought about by a reflection and discussion process that involved a group of teacher education professors housed in the Physical Education Teacher Education Program (called Instituto Superior de Educación Física) in the Province of La Pampa, Argentina. These identified aspects, presented for debate in this paper, were the result of a process of change implemented at the end of the 90s and that is currently still taking place. En cambio, se plantean aquí un conjunto de consideraciones que necesariamente acompañan los procesos curriculares en las experiencias de formación. Sobre el final, se consideran elementos de la reflexión que el colectivo de docentes del Instituto Superior de Educación Física de La Pampa ha producido para el cambio curricular a fines de los 90 y continúa en período de cambio. PALABRAS-CLAVE: currículo – prácticas curriculares – crítica histórica – crítica epistemológica.Para abordar as grandes questões que surgem nos processos de definição sobre a que corresponde atuar na formação docente profissional para a Educação Física, se poderiam descrever as propostas curriculares inscritas nos planos de estudo ou desenvolver os problemas que a sua implementação suscita. Assim, se analisam, aqui, um conjunto de considerações que acompanham os processos curriculares nas experiências de formação. Para concluir, se consideram os elementos de reflexão que os docentes do Instituto Superior de Educação Física de La Pampa produziram para a mudança curricular que aconteceu ao final dos anos 90 e que continua até os dias atuais.
