Resumo: The metabolism between man and nature is always recreated, with implications for new social forms. One of these forms is the way the body is used and disciplined. Because this, we question: How determinates the body form in the capitalist society? To understand this thematic, we try to understand how the body form is established and which is the contributions of Physical Education like a knowledge camp, has in this context. This theoretical text based on a literature review shows like its principal result the influence of work over the determination of body’s form. Keywords: Body. Discipline. Capitalism.

Capitalism.El metabolismo entre el hombre e la naturaleza se recría siempre implicando nuevas formas sociales. Dentro ellas, está la forma como la sociedad trata e disciplina el cuerpo. Cuestiona-se entonces ¿cómo se determina la forma del cuerpo en la sociedad capitalista? Para comprender ese tema, busca-se entender cómo se establece la forma del cuerpo e cuales son las contribuciones que la Educación Física, como Campo de Conocimiento, posee en esto contexto. Este texto teórico basado en una revisión de literatura presenta como resultado principal la influencia del trabajo sobre la determinación de la forma del cuerpo. Palabras clave: Cuerpo. Disciplina.
