Resumo: Two experiments were carried out in 1998 in order to evaluate the number of droplets/cm2 (droplets deposition) sprayed by nozzle types (110°-SF-01, 110°-SF-02, D2-23 and D3-25). Four nozzle types, two positions (between rows and in the row) and three collecting heights (plant’s height, half plant’s height and soil’s height) were evaluated. In the first experiment, using maize, it was observed that the 110o-SF-01 nozzle showed a larger number of droplets deposition than the others; and the deposition was larger between rows than in the row. In the second experiment, using beans, there were only differences between the 110°-SF-02 and D3-25 nozzles only. KEY-WORDS: Zea mays; Phaseolus vulgaris; spray nozzles.

No ano de 1998 dois experimentos foram realizados para a avaliação da cobertura de gotas de quatro bicos de pulverização. Avaliaram-se quatro bicos, duas posições de aplicação (linha e entrelinha) e três alturas de coleta de gotas dossel, mediana e ao nível do solo). As culturas utilizadas foram as de milho e de feijão. Na cultura do milho, observou-se que o bico 110°-SF-01 apresentou uma maior deposição de gotas que os demais, que não diferiram entre si. A cobertura das gotas foi maior quando os coletores estavam situados nas entrelinhas do que nas linhas de plantio. Na cultura do feijão observou-se que os únicos bicos de pulverização que diferiram entre si foram os bicos D3-25 e o 110°-SF-02.
