Resumo: | This paper presents and discusses the book Sobre o ensino de literatura, by Paulo Franchetti (2021) so as to point out concepts, methods and political perspectives related to activities carried out with literature in classroom. Although this paper is concentrated on ideas and proposals made by the book, it also tries to relate, directly or indirectly, its main formularizations to a current discussion within the field of studies on literature teaching. Following the book own scheme, the subject will be broached both at Grade/Junior High School and Higher Education levels, or, inversely, from the literature teacher’s background development up to his/her professional performance. |

Aunque se haya centrado en las ideas y propuestas del libro, el ensayo busca relacionar también, sea directa o indirectamente, las formulaciones elementales de la obra con la discusión actual respecto a los estudios sobre la enseñanza de la literatura. Teniendo en cuenta el camino propuesto en la exposición del propio libro, el tema elegido será tratado tanto en la Enseñanza Básica como en la Enseñanza Superior, o, en contrapunto, desde la formación del profesor de literatura hasta su actuación profesional.Este trabalho apresenta e discute o livro Sobre o ensino de literatura, de Paulo Franchetti (2021), de forma a destacar conceitos, métodos e perspectivas políticas relacionadas às atividades com a literatura em sala de aula. Apesar de se concentrar nas ideias e propostas do livro, procura também relacionar, direta ou indiretamente, suas principais formulações com a discussão corrente no âmbito dos estudos sobre o ensino de literatura.
