Teaching practice and children’s literature in primary education

Resumo: This study aims to analyze the way children's literature is addressed in two public elementary schools in Bahia, one in the city of Barreiras and the other in Wanderley. One teacher from each school participated in this study. The methodology used was the bibliographic and field research, using as instruments the field diary and the questionnaire. We conducted the theoretical discussion based on the assumptions of Coelho (2000), Hunt (2010), Candido (2004), Colomer (2007), Kleiman (2002), among others. We also present, based on the data, some reflections on the teaching of children's literature in elementary school I, which often goes through a recreational and/or pedagogical bias. These approaches were indispensable for the clarification of children's literature and reader training.

These approaches were indispensable for the clarification of children's literature and reader training.               Este estudio tiene por objeto analizar la forma en que se aborda la literatura infantil en dos escuelas primarias públicas de Bahía, una en la ciudad de Barreiras y la otra en Wanderley. Un profesor de cada escuela participó en este estudio. La metodología utilizada fue la investigación bibliográfica y de campo, utilizando como instrumentos el diario de campo y el cuestionario. Llevamos a cabo la discusión teórica basándonos en los supuestos de Coelho (2000), Hunt (2010), Candido (2004), Colomer (2007), Kleiman (2002), entre otros. También presentamos, a partir de los datos, algunas reflexiones sobre la enseñanza de la literatura infantil en la escuela primaria I, que a menudo pasa por un sesgo recreativo y/o pedagógico. Estos enfoques eran indispensables para el esclarecimiento de la literatura infantil y la formación de los lectores.O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar a forma como é abordada a literatura infantil em duas escolas públicas do ensino fundamental I da Bahia, uma na cidade de Barreiras e outra em Wanderley. Participaram deste estudo uma professora de cada escola. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo, empregando como instrumentos o diário de campo e o questionário. Realizamos a discussão teórica com base nos pressupostos de Coelho (2000), Hunt (2010), Candido (2004), Colomer (2007), Kleiman (2002), entre outros. Apresentamos também, com base nos dados, algumas reflexões acerca do ensino da literatura infantil no ensino fundamental I, que, muitas vezes, perpassa por um viés recreativo e/ou pedagógico.
