Resumo: We will analyze the different modalities of the representation of motherhood present in Ginzburg’s essays linked to the thematization of the ambivalences and contradictions that denounce the oppression of patriarchy and that crystallize in her considerations about melancholy and the feminine gender. In the essay Discorso sulle donne Ginzburg reflects on sadness, women’s feelings of ambivalence and gender difficulties and characterizes different stereotypes of mothers. Ginzburg declares that she identifies with the stereotype of kangaroo mothers and points out that the strong feelings of attachment and affection are always mix together with all kinds of worries that accompany many women (2016, p.152).

En el ensayo Discorso sulle donne Ginzburg reflexiona sobre la tristeza, los sentimientos de ambivalencia de las mujeres y las dificultades de género y caracteriza a diferentes estereotipos de mujeres madres. Ginzburg declara que se identifica con el estereotipo de las madres canguro y señala que aquel sentimiento fuerte de unión y cariño, está siempre cargado de todo tipo de preocupaciones que acompañan a muchas mujeres (2016, p.152).Analisaremos as diferentes modalidades de representação da maternidade presentes nos ensaios de Ginzburg vinculadas à tematização das ambivalências e contradições que denunciam a opressão do patriarcado e que se cristalizam em suas considerações sobre a melancolia e o gênero feminino. No ensaio Discorso sulle donne Ginzburg reflete sobre a tristeza, os sentimentos femininos de ambivalência e as dificuldades de gênero e caracteriza diferentes estereótipos de mães.
