Resumo: The Dom Pedro II’s prose translation of the Aeschylus’ tragedy Prometheus bond remains unpublished. However, we have access to the manuscript of this translation, which is deposited in the Brazilian Geographical Historical Institute (IHGB), located in Rio de Janeiro. We transcribed this manuscript integrally in the research that we have developed at the University of São Paulo. This article releases some of the results achieved and parts of the transcript.
