Audiovisual, creation and teaching: self-study as an educational experience

Resumo: This study reports an audiovisual experience that approaches initial teacher education and teacher professional development. Our horizon is the critical and creative teaching, integrated with digital technologies and the media over the relationship with students who are protagonists of their own formative processes. Overall, students start their graduation knowing how to use digital technologies, but frequently have difficulty integrating them into educational practices that value their creation and autonomy. During the academic semester we developed, together with the undergrads, studies on audiovisual that ended up in the production of a short-film written and directed by us as subject teachers, and also by the students involved in this creative and collective work, which is the topic of the present study. The theoretical-methodological path that guided this educational project and data analysis were grounded in the perspective of autobiographical narratives (DELORY-MOMBERGER, 2016) considering the shared construction of knowledge through self-reflection (PINNEGAR; HAMILTON, 2009), in the light of the concepts of educational experience (DEWEY, 2011), the potential for knowledge development from both experience (BONDÍA, 2002) and teaching (TARDIF, 2014). We pointed out the possibilities of producing digital short-films as a way to integrate teachers and students in a creative and reflective process, approaching the teaching in articulation with the artistic language. The reflections that emerge bring up possibilities to think about educational proposals that favor a vision of critical and creative appropriation of media and information and communication technologies.

Nosso horizonte é a docência crítica e criativa, integrada às tecnologias digitais e à mídia na relação com estudantes protagonistas de seus processos formativos. Muitos alunos chegam à universidade sabendo usar as tecnologias digitais, mas com dificuldades em como integrá-las em práticas educativas que valorizem a criação e a autonomia. Durante um semestre letivo desenvolvemos, juntamente com os graduandos, estudos sobre audiovisual que culminaram na criação de um curta-metragem produzido, escrito e dirigido por nós, enquanto docentes da disciplina e pelos estudantes envolvidos, em um trabalho criativo e coletivo, objeto do presente estudo. O percurso teórico metodológico que norteou o projeto educativo e a análise ancoram-se na perspectiva das narrativas autobiográficas (DELORY-MOMBERGER, 2016) considerando a construção compartilhada dos saberes pela autorreflexão (PINNEGAR; HAMILTON, 2009), à luz dos conceitos de experiência educativa (DEWEY, 2011), do potencial da produção de saberes da experiência (BONDÍA, 2002) e da docência (TARDIF, 2014). Apontamos no estudo as possibilidades da produção de curtas-metragens digitais enquanto forma de integrar docentes e discentes em um processo criativo e reflexivo, abordando a docência na articulação com a linguagem artística.
