Resumo: Studies have confirmed the importance of considering religiosity and spirituality (R/E) as a factor of great relevance in people's lives, associated with indicators of well-being and impact on patients' health. However, there is a shortage of knowledge about the impact of R/E on the health of children and adolescents and on the application of such knowledge in clinical practice and on the prevention of risk behaviors and mental disorders. This article aims to provide a brief review of the literature on the relationship between spirituality and mental health in childhood and adolescence and its approach to clinical practice.

No entanto, há uma escassez de conhecimentos sobre o impacto da R/E na saúde de crianças e adolescentes e sobre a aplicação de tais conhecimentos na prática clínica e quanto à prevenção de comportamentos de risco e de transtornos mentais.
