Resumo: This short essay is intended as a simple posthumous tribute to the rectors of the Methodist University of Piracicaba (UNIMEP), to the professors of the UNIMEP Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGE/UNIMEP) and to the masters and doctors who graduated from this program and who have already left this world, some long ago, others recently, and have left us nostalgic and, at the same time, grateful for the testimonies of their lives and works, for their educational and emancipatory achievements, for the continuity of the scientific and educational lessons received and produced at PPGE/UNIMEP. From this perspective, our tribute extends to three rectors who have contributed significantly to the PPGE becoming an educational program of excellence, to PPGE professors who have guided master's and doctoral students in education over many years, and to PPGE master's and doctoral graduates who have contributed much in their educational activities to a scientific, democratic and emancipatory education. May their stories continue to inspire us, and may we continue the mission they left us with constancy and determination. Resquiecant in pace.

Resquiecant in pace.Este breve escrito pretende ser un simple tributo póstumo a los rectores de la Universidad Metodista de Piracicaba (UNIMEP), a los profesores del Programa de Postgrado en Educación de la UNIMEP (PPGE/UNIMEP) y a los maestros y doctores graduados en este programa que ya dejaron este mundo, algunos hace mucho tiempo, otros recientemente, y nos han dejado nostálgicos y, al mismo tiempo, agradecidos por los testimonios de sus vidas y obras, por sus realizaciones educativas y emancipadoras, por la continuidad de las enseñanzas científicas y educativas recibidas y producidas en el PPGE/UNIMEP. Desde esta perspectiva, nuestro tributo se extiende a los tres rectores de la UNIMEP que contribuyeron enormemente a que el PPGE se convirtiera en un programa educativo de excelencia, a los profesores del PPGE que guiaron diariamente a los estudiantes de maestría y doctorado en Educación durante muchos años, y a los graduados de maestría y doctorado del PPGE que contribuyeron enormemente en sus actividades educativas a una educación científica, democrática y emancipadora. Que sus historias nos sigan inspirando y que continuemos con la misión que nos legaron con constancia y determinación. Resquiecant in pace.Este pequeno ensaio quer ser uma singela homenagem póstuma aos reitores da Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba (UNIMEP), aos docentes do Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação da UNIMEP (PPGE/UNIMEP) e aos mestres e doutores formados por este Programa, que já deixaram este mundo, uns há mais tempo, outros recentemente, e nos deixaram saudosos e, ao mesmo tempo, gratos pelos testemunhos de suas vidas e obras, pelas suas realizações educacionais e emancipatórias, pela continuidade dos ensinamentos científicos e educacionais recebidos e produzidos no PPGE/UNIMEP. Nessa perspectiva, nossa homenagem se estende a Três Reitores da UNIMEP que muito contribuíram para que o PPGE se transformasse em um Programa Educacional de excelência, a docentes do PPGE que no dia a dia de muitos anos orientaram mestrandos e doutorandos em Educação e a mestres e doutores formados pelo PPGE que muito contribuíram em suas atividades educacionais por uma formação científica, democrática e emancipatória. Que suas histórias continuem a nos inspirar e que nós continuemos com constância e determinação a missão por eles deixada.
