Active methodologies and educational technologies: development and publication trajectory of a gamified book for teachers

Resumo: | Starting from the premise that learning processes also permeate the teacher's action as a mediator of knowledge, in recent years, a Higher Education Institution in the Southern region of Brazil has been investing increasingly in Continuing Training programs for teachers, oriented towards (re) )knowledge, reflection and use of Active Learning Methodologies and Educational Technologies. In 2023, the IES institutionally consolidated this trajectory with the publication of the book “Active Methodologies and Educational Technologies: Practical Guide for innovative teaching”. Thus, the objective of this article is to report the process of developing an institutional book on Active Learning Methodologies and Educational Technologies. The theoretical framework addresses discussions about teaching professional development and active learning methodologies. Regarding methodological aspects, this is a qualitative and exploratory research, considering the reflective intention on the experiential path that culminated in the publication of the aforementioned work. The results were presented considering: 1) The book’s development trajectory; 2) The structure and presentation of the book; and, finally, 3) Initial reflections on a recently published work. The analyzes reveal that the intention of the work was to present itself as a practical tool for IES teachers who have expressed their intention to innovate their pedagogical practices, based on Active Methodologies and Educational Technologies. It reflects on the positioning of educational institutions, with regard to the understanding of active methodologies and educational technologies, which go beyond updating pedagogical resources and which affect continuing education processes. |

En 2023, el IES consolidó institucionalmente esta trayectoria con la publicación del libro “Metodologías Activas y Tecnologías Educativas: Guía práctica para la enseñanza innovadora”. Así, el objetivo de este artículo es informar el proceso de elaboración de un libro institucional sobre Metodologías Activas de Aprendizaje y Tecnologías Educativas. El marco teórico aborda discusiones sobre el desarrollo profesional docente y las metodologías de aprendizaje activo. En cuanto a los aspectos metodológicos, se trata de una investigación cualitativa y exploratoria, considerando la intención reflexiva sobre el camino experiencial que culminó con la publicación del citado trabajo. Los resultados fueron presentados considerando: 1) la trayectoria de desarrollo del libro; 2) La estructura y presentación del libro; y, finalmente, 3) Reflexiones iniciales sobre un trabajo recientemente publicado. Los análisis revelan que la intención del trabajo fue presentarse como una herramienta práctica para los docentes de IES que han manifestado su intención de innovar sus prácticas pedagógicas, basadas en Metodologías Activas y Tecnologías Educativas. Se reflexiona sobre el posicionamiento de las instituciones educativas, en lo que respecta a la comprensión de metodologías activas y tecnologías educativas, que van más allá de la actualización de recursos pedagógicos y que inciden en los procesos de formación continua.Partindo da premissa de que os processos de aprendizagem perpassam também pela ação do professor como mediador do conhecimento, nos últimos anos, uma Instituição de Ensino Superior da região Sul do Brasil vem investindo crescentemente em programas de Formação Continuada de docentes, orientados para o (re)conhecimento, a reflexão e a utilização de Metodologias Ativas de Aprendizagem e Tecnologias Educacionais. Em 2023 a IES consolidou institucionalmente essa trajetória com a publicação do livro “Metodologias Ativas e Tecnologias Educacionais: Guia Prático para uma docência inovadora”. Assim, o objetivo deste artigo é relatar o processo de desenvolvimento de um livro institucional sobre as Metodologias Ativas de aprendizagem e Tecnologias Educacionais. O referencial teórico aborda discussões sobre o desenvolvimento profissional docente e as metodologias ativas de aprendizagem. No que se refere aos aspectos metodológicos, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória, considerando a intenção reflexiva sobre o percurso experiencial que culminou na publicação da referida obra. Os resultados foram apresentados considerando: 1) A trajetória de desenvolvimento do livro; 2) A estrutura e a apresentação do livro; e, por fim, 3) Reflexões iniciais de uma obra publicada recentemente. As análises revelam que a intenção da obra foi apresentar-se como uma ferramenta prática para docentes da IES que vêm manifestando a intenção de inovar suas práticas pedagógicas, com base nas Metodologias Ativas e nas Tecnologias Educacionais.
