The Internet, since its popularization in the 1990’s, until today, has reached unimaginable proportions, constituting a technology through which relevant information and research data can be published and exchanged among those who generate them and those who are far from research centres. The objective of this work was to create a web environment, called vortal, that divulges the research projects carried out by the researchers of the EPAMIG geoprocessing laboratory (GeoSolos), who use geotechnology to map and characterize coffee environments of the State of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. The target public of this portal are all the the segments of the coffee agribusiness, researchers and people interested in geotechnologies and its application for coffee mapping.
