This article discusses the impacts of the pandemic on teaching work and is based on survey data,originated from the project “The impacts of the use of educational technologies through remote teaching inschool activities, in the municipalities located in the state of Bahia, in the context of Covid-19 pandemic ”. This research was carried out between April and May 2020 and involved 756 teachers from different levels and modalities of public systems and private education networks. This work was carried out by the Group of Studies and Research on Social Movements, Cultural Diversity and Education of the Countryside and the City, of the State University of Southwest Bahia (GEPEMDECC / UESB). The project’s methodology, and under which this text is oriented, is based on the assumption that the production of knowledge needs to infer issues underlyingthe realities that emerge from a historical, economic, political and social scenario that affects, implicitly or explicitly, in the subjects’ lives. As a data collection instrument, it was used a questionnaire made available via Google Forms and applied to teachers. The results point to the registration of the investment in the remote education proposal at the same time that they reveal the weaknesses of this project in Basic Education.
