RESEARCH AND EDUCATION: GLEPDIAL and the professional development of educators in basic education

Resumo: The relationship between school and university as a fruitful exchange on the education of teachers and professors can be experienced in research groups to favor the professional development of educators. This article addresses the formative role of the Study and Research Group on Reading and Writing as a Dialogical Process (Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Leitura e Escrita como Processo Dialógico/GLEPDIAL) in the professional development of Basic Education teachers. This is established as exploratory research of qualitative foundation about the formative experience of the cited group, at the Federal University of Maranhão (Universidade Federal do Maranhão/UFMA). The text has been divided into four parts: the first part situates the theme, the objective, and the methodology; the second presents the discussion on docent formation and research, with emphasis on reflection on practice; in the third, it is presented the analysis of data in the light of the chosen authors; and in the fourth, some provocative considerations. Of qualitative foundation, with an interpretivist perspective, the data were generated via an open questionnaire along with three educators who participated in the group and whose debate was carried out through textual discourse analysis. The results point out that participating in research groups instigates the return to the University, giving new meaning to personal and professional projects, enabling exchanges and knowledge, appropriation of acquired understanding, and moving them to reflect on their practice.

Este artículo discute el papel formativo del Grupo de Estudios e investigación en Lectura y Escritura como Proceso Dialógico (GLEPDIAL) en el desarrollo profesional de los/as profesores de Enseñanza Básica. Se constituye como una investigación exploratoria cualitativa acerca de las experiencias formativas del dicho grupo en la Universidade Federal do Maranhão. El texto está compartido en cuatro partes: la primera sitúa el asunto, el objetivo y los procedimientos metodológicos; en la segunda, presenta la discusión acerca de la formación docente y la investigación, con enfoque para la reflexión de la práctica; en la tercera, el análisis de los datos por medio de los autores elegidos; y en la cuarta, algunas consideraciones provocativas. Con base cualitativa y perspectiva interpretativista, los datos resultan de cuestionario abierto en unión con tres profesoras participantes del grupo, cuyo debate se hizo por la Análisis Textual Discursiva. Los resultados apuntan que la participación en grupos de investigaciones incentiva el regreso a la Universidad, resignificando proyectos personales y profesionales, lo que promueve intercambios y apropiación de conocimientos, moviéndolos para la reflexión de su práctica.  A relação entre universidade e escola como uma troca profícua na formação de professores pode ser vivenciada em grupos de pesquisas para favorecer o desenvolvimento profissional docente. Este artigo discute o papel de um grupo de pesquisa no desenvolvimento profissional de/as professores/as da Educação Básica. Constitui-se como uma pesquisa exploratória de base qualitativa (SAMPIERRE; COLLADO; LUCIO, 2013) sobre a experiência formativa do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Leitura e Escrita como Processo Dialógico (GLEPDIAL), da Universidade Federal do Maranhão. Os dados foram coletados via questionário aberto junto a três professoras participantes do grupo e a análise textual se fez com base em autores como García (1999), Contreras (2012), André (2010), Facci (2004) e Oliveira-Formosinho (2009), entre outros.
