Crossings of time in research practice: between the objectivity of deadlines and the slowed-down subjectivity of knowledge

Resumo: What temporalities cross the practice of academic research? In addition to the formal definition of timelines, what are the duration of an investigation? This text outlines aspects of the relationship between time and research practices, at the intersections between the objectivity of deadlines and the slowed-down temporality of research subjects. Based on bibliographic research, anchored in the reflexivity of research guidance activities, the existence of three temporalities in academic research is suggested: (1) the context of social use of time within a neoliberal logic aimed at (2) defined deadlines by universities and agencies in which (3) the various procedures involved in research are developed. These aspects are discussed from the subjects' place in the elaboration of knowledge.

A partir de investigaciones bibliográficas, ancladas en la reflexividad de las actividades de orientación a la investigación, se sugiere la existencia de tres temporalidades en la investigación académica: (1) el contexto de uso social del tiempo dentro de una lógica neoliberal orientada a (2) plazos definidos por universidades y agencias en el que (3) se desarrollan los diversos procedimientos implicados en la investigación. Este texto delineia aspectos da relação do tempo com as práticas de pesquisa, nas intersecções entre a objetividade dos prazos e a temporalidade desacelerada dos sujeitos pesquisadores. A partir de pesquisa bibliográfica, ancorada na reflexividade das atividades de orientação de pesquisa, sugere-se a existência de três temporalidades na investigação acadêmica: (1) o contexto de uso social do tempo dentro de uma lógica neoliberal objetivados nos (2) prazos definidos por universidades e agências nos quais se desenvolvem (3) os vários procedimentos envolvidos em uma pesquisa.
