Resumo: This article addresses the materiality adopted in the works for the exhibition The Senses of Form – design as a poetic act, an artistic-cultural event at the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro within the scope of the discipline Design, Matter and Product, of the Graduate Program in Design. The literary work of Mary Shelley, Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus, was interpreted considering the materiality of the paper, material sensitive to time, changeable through certain work techniques. The series development process will be discussed in this article, resulting in a study that involved the adoption of a collaborative creative process in design. This study is part of a master's research that permeates art, design and its materiality.

La obra literaria de Mary Shelley, Frankenstein o The Modern Prometheus, fue interpretada considerando la materialidad del papel, material sensible al tiempo, cambiante a través de ciertas técnicas de trabajo. El proceso de desarrollo de la serie se discutirá en este artículo, dando como resultado un estudio que implicó la adopción de un proceso creativo colaborativo en el diseño. Este estudio es parte de una investigación de maestría que impregna el arte, el diseño y su materialidad.Este artigo aborda a materialidade adotada nas obras para a exposição Os sentidos da forma – o design como ato poético, evento artístico-cultural da Escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, no âmbito da disciplina Design, Matéria e Produto, do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Design. A obra literária de Mary Shelley, Frankenstein ou O Prometeu Moderno, foi interpretada considerando a materialidade do papel, material sensível ao tempo e mutável mediante determinadas técnicas de trabalho. O processo de desenvolvimento da série será discutido neste artigo, traduzindo-se em um estudo que envolveu a adoção de processo criativo colaborativo no design.
