Resumo: The article aims to describe a mode of the interviewee being on the scene in the film Jogo de Cena, here named figure character. The author performs a film analysis guided by the concepts of figure and figural, as conceived by Jean-François Lyotard. The analysis results in the description of how a paradoxical space emerges in the film within which the transformation of the character into a figure corresponds to a logical subversion of the narrative. The article allows us to conclude that the dialogue between film theory and figural theory can lead to innovative approaches to film and to the renewal of film analysis activity.

L'auteur procède à une analyse du film orientée par les concepts de figure et de figural, tels que conçus par Jean-François Lyotard. L'analyse aboutit à la description de l'émergence d'un espace paradoxal dans le film au sein duquel la transformation du personnage en figure correspond à une subversion logique du récit. L'article nous permet de conclure que le dialogue entre la théorie du cinéma et la théorie du figural peut conduire à des approches innovantes du cinéma et au renouvellement de l'analyse filmique.O artigo tem como objetivo descrever uma modalidade do entrevistado estar em cena no filme Jogo de cena aqui denominada personagem figura. O autor realiza uma análise do filme orientada pelos conceitos de figura e figural, tal como são concebidos por Jean-François Lyotard. A análise resulta na descrição do modo como emerge no filme um espaço paradoxal dentro do qual a transformação do personagem em figura corresponde a uma subversão lógica da narrativa.
