This article presents the thematic dossier of Farol - Journal of Organizational Studies and Society about “Work, Subjectivity and Contemporaneity”. It departs from a critical perspective in the world of management in general and in the universe of labor relations in particular. The articles that make up this dossier are presented, which deal with topics such as labor reform, bullying, illness of readapted teachers and suffering of university students, socio-educational workers and shift workers. The confluence of this Dossier is in the relationship that exists between work and to work in the contemporaneity, that is fraught with pain and suffering, reverberated in many forms of illness. Searching for creative suffering is a struggle alternative for workers. Starting from an action, recognizing the strength of the collective work, we can expand the ties of cooperation and solidarity and thus we can have more health and fewer diseases in the contemporaneity.
