In this research, we consider that death is not only a physiological and organic phenomenon, but also involves a series of beliefs, emotions and activities that are notably social, we seek to understand how the Brazilian funeral complex is organized and what are the main effects and implications of Covid-19 pandemic on the working conditions of professionals in this category. Issues such as work overload, occupational risks, and exposure to disease are highlighted in order to get closer to the implications of the current health crisis from the perspective of those who work directly in this field. As a research methodology, we used semi-structured interviews with professionals in the area, as well as a bibliographic and documental survey. We traced the paths of the new configurations that are being composed and noted that there is, above all, a lack of consensus in identifying the condition of vulnerability of these workers.
