E-maturity analisys in an educational institution

Resumo: | Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have gained significant relevance to the functioning and good results of different types of business, including in educational institutions. In this context, this qualitative study aimed to analyze e-maturity in an educational institution. To achieve the proposed objective, a study was performed using narratives at the Federal Institute of Sergipe (IFS). The collection of interpretive reports was carried out through semi-structured interviews applied to five strategic managers and two information technology managers. The results demonstrate that the constructs of infrastructure, technological leadership and support for the use and dissemination of ICTs constitute the administrative e-maturity of the institution, however, new actions and strategies must be implemented in order to enhance the functionalities and results obtained through the use of tools information technology. As tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TICs) ganharam expressiva relevância ao funcionamento e bons resultados de diferentes tipos de negócios, inclusive em instituições de ensino. Nesse contexto, este estudo, de caráter qualitativo, teve como objetivo analisar a e-maturity em uma instituição educacional. Para alcance do objetivo proposto foi empreendido um estudo com uso de narrativas no Instituto Federal de Sergipe (IFS). A coleta de relatos interpretativos foi realizada por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas aplicadas a cinco gestores estratégicos e dois gestores de tecnologia da informação. Os resultados demonstram que os construtos de infraestrutura, liderança tecnológica e suporte para uso e disseminação de TICs constituem a e-maturity administrativa da instituição, contudo, novas ações e estratégias devem ser implementadas a fim de potencializar as funcionalidades e resultados obtidos pelo uso de ferramentas de tecnologia da informação.
