Resumo: | The “FHIA 18” banana is a tetraploid hybrid of “Prata Anã” (Silver subgroup), which presents resistance to “Black Sigatoka” and “Mal-do-Panamá”, proving to be a promising material for the substitution of type Silver, in commercial areas with the incidence of these diseases. Due to this, the present work had as objective to evaluate productive characteristics of the second cycle of the plant, in the municipality of Botucatu-SP. The following production variables were evaluated: mass of the leaves (kg), mass of the rachis (kg), mass of the bunch (kg), number of fruits per bunch (kg), average fruit mass bunch and productivity; in the second leave the mass, number, length and diameter of the fruits were evaluated. The descriptive statistics method was used to evaluate the characteristics of the hybrid, using the means and standard deviation calculations. The results showed that the 'FHIA 18' hybrid showed good productive performance in the Botucatu-SP soil conditions, with a high number of fruits per cluster (116 fruits) and average productivity of 19, 75 t ha-1, a value close to productive yield current average in the state of São Paulo. |
