Resumo: | This article discusses the role of Psychology as a strategic role in institutional performance in interface with education, having as a starting point the work carried out on one of the campuses of the Federal Institute of Scientific and Technological Education Sul-rio-grandense (IFSul). The research, carried out in an ethnographic perspective, contoured with the monitoring of the daily institutional work and group interventions with students, processes investigated from perspectives of Discourse Analysis. As a result, an analytical axis proved to be a professional and interventional challenge: “student success” as a capitalist-technical statement of the educational process. Derived from this, three others appear as strategic for the exercise of Psychology: the non-bureaucratization of work; the distribution of organizational priorities; psychological demands as associated with the exercise of citizenship. In a context of technicist co-option, Psychology proves to be fundamental for the understanding of institutional rationalities and the production of singularity, being, potentially, in partnership with other professionals and students. |
