Precarization of work and health of worker: review and perspectives

The objective of this study was to analyze the literature on precarization of work and health of worker, with a view to the investigation/intervention perspectives. For this purpose, a search for articles in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) was conducted. Search and selection criteria were defined, resulting in 22 articles for analysis. The literature consulted brings important contributions on the relationship between precarization of work and health of worker, especially for health workers, ratifying the amplification of this phenomenon before productive restructuring. Productions in the areas of Psychology, Nursing and Collective Health were highlighted, but with substantial incorporation of theoretical categories of Sociology of Work. On the other hand, theoretical categories of classics of Worker's Health and Collective Health with a Marxist basis can be recovered with greater emphasis to elucidate the specific effects of the world of work on health. The research from now on should focus on the question of uberization, but without isolating this phenomenon from the general dynamic of reproduction of capital. It is necessary to strengthen investigative paths in a critical perspective, with a view to transforming the process of health degradation from its roots.
