THE INFLUENCE OF MANAGEMENT ON THE DYNAMIC OF PLEASURE AND SUFFERING AT WORK

Resumo: | Work can be a source of pleasure or suffering. These feelings do not depend only on the subject's will, but on the conditions and dynamics of the work that the organization makes available. However, not infrequently, two or more units of the same institution, with the same structure of work organization, located in different places, offer very different experiences for their servers/employees. This article, therefore, discusses the conditions that can justify these differences, based on a qualitative investigation with permanent employees of two units of a Federal Teaching Institution. Individual interviews were carried out with servers from both units whose quantity was defined according to Thiry-Cherques (2009) and submitted to content analysis according to Bardin (2011). The results indicate that this dynamic is extremely influenced by the manager(s) and by interpersonal factors related to them. This is because a management open to dialogue that allows the subject to have autonomy at work was decisive for the differences found between the units. The discussions presented are based, in addition to the results of the investigation, on the theory of Psychodynamics of Work, having as reference, mainly, the works of Christophe Dejours |

Esses sentimentos não dependem apenas do querer do sujeito, mas das condições e da dinâmica do trabalho que a organização disponibiliza. Todavia, em não raras vezes duas ou mais unidades de uma mesma instituição, com a mesma estrutura de organização do trabalho, situadas em locais diferentes, oferecem vivências muito diversas para os seus servidores/empregados. Este artigo, portanto, discute as condições que podem justificar essas diferenças, com base em uma investigação qualitativa com servidores efetivos de duas unidades de uma Instituição Federal de Ensino. Foram realizadas entrevistas individuais com servidores de ambas unidades cujo quantitativo foi definido conforme Thiry-Cherques (2009) e submetidas a análise de conteúdo conforme Bardin (2011). Os resultados apontam que essa dinâmica é extremamente influenciada pelo(s) gestor(es) e de fatores interpessoais a ele(s) relacionados. Isso porque uma gestão aberta ao diálogo que permite que o sujeito tenha uma autonomia no trabalho foi decisivo para as diferenças encontradas entre as unidades.
