Methodological approaches in the context of higher education: experiences in teaching of microbiology

Resumo: This article aims to share teaching practices related to working with the discipline of microbiology in the context of graduation courses in Health Sciences, both in public and private higher education institutions, mediated by methodologies considered significant to build up alumni knowledge and to enrich the currently used methodological approaches in the development of this discipline. The shared experiences are the following: a) to use material supply to support the leading of practical classes that encourage logical thinking and more detailed investigation; b) to use samples from clinical laboratories and hospitals in order to make practical classes more attractive and contextualized with the future labor market; c) examples of extension activities, such as extra class work, that result in academic communication and publishing of scientific papers. Based on these objectives, experiences in micro-biology teaching are described next.

Based on these objectives, experiences in micro-biology teaching are described next.O presente artigo trata do compartilhamento de práticas de ensino relativas ao trabalho realizado na disciplina de Microbiologia, no contexto de cursos de graduações em Ciências da Saúde em instituições de ensino superior, públicas e privadas, mediadas por metodologias consideradas significativas para a construção de conhecimento discente e para o enriquecimento das abordagens metodológicas utilizadas no desenvolvimento da referida disciplina.  Serão compartilhadas as seguintes experiências: a) oferta de material para subsidiar a condução das aulas práticas, que estimule o raciocínio lógico e a investigação mais detalhada; b) contato, durante as aulas práticas, com amostras clínicas advindas de laboratórios e hospitais, tornando assim a aula mais atrativa e contextualizada em consonância com o mercado de trabalho do futuro profissional; c) propostas de atividades extensionistas, como atividades extraclasse que resultem em comunicação (acadêmica) e publicação de trabalhos em eventos científicos.
