Resumo: This study examined the training of nurses at the Nursing Graduation Center of the Faculdade de Medicina do Triângulo Mineiro (FMTM), according to the opinion of alumni from 1992 to 1999. There were 108 workers who responded to a questionnaire with open and multiple-choice questions. The answers were analyzed with the assistance of computer software, which helped in counting the relative and absolute occurrence of the variables under study. For open questions, the answers were analyzed for content, according to Bardin (1991) and 5 large categories emerged: professional dream, training in scientific activities, insertion in the labor market, foundations for professional activity and contribution to the School itself in training future nurses. Many suggestions were made by alumni to improve the quality of the teaching by the School.

Many suggestions were made by alumni to improve the quality of the teaching by the School.El objetivo del presente estudio fue verificar el proceso de formación profesional, desarrollado por el (CGE) Centro de Graduación en Enfermería de la Facultad de Medicina del Triángulo Mineiro (FMTM) según la opinión de los egresados entre 1992 y 1999. La muestra contó con 108 profesionales que respondieron a un cuestionario compuesto por preguntas disertativas y de múltiple opción. Las respuestas fueron analizadas con el auxilio de un programa de computadora, lo que permitió identificar las frecuencias relativas y absolutas de las variables en cuestión. Con respecto a las preguntas disertativas, las respuestas fueron sometidas al análisis de contenido, según Bardin (1991), resultando de ello 5 (cinco) grandes categorías: sueño profesional, preparación en actividades científicas, inserción en el mercado de trabajo, fundamentación para el ejercicio profesional y contribución al CGE-FMTM en la formación del futuro enfermero. Los egresados efectuaron varias sugerencias con el objetivo de contribuir a mejorar la calidad de la enseñanza ofrecida por el CGE-FMTM.O presente estudo teve como objetivo, verificar o processo de formação profissional desenvolvido no Centro de Graduação em Enfermagem (CGE) da Faculdade de Medicina do Triângulo Mineiro (FMTM), segundo a opinião dos egressos formados nos anos de 1992 a 1999. A amostra contou com 108 profissionais, que responderam a um questionário composto por perguntas dissertativas e multi-opcionais. As respostas foram analisadas com auxílio de um programa computadorizado, o que permitiu identificar as freqüências relativas e absolutas das variáveis em questão. Para as perguntas abertas, as respostas foram submetidas à análise de conteúdo segundo Bardin (1991), emergindo cinco grandes categorias a saber: sonho profissional, preparo em atividades científicas, inserção no mercado de trabalho, fundamentação para o exercício profissional e contribuição para o CGE-FMTM na formação do futuro enfermeiro.
