Resumo: The present text aims to demonstrate, from the perspective of the ontology of social being, the general aspects that the immanent movement of the economic categories born of labour makes historically through the different modes of production of material wealth. In the light of the Hungarian philosopher György Lukács's For the Ontology of Social Being, we seek to highlight the main economic and social mediations that objectively intervene to bring about and consolidate the evolutionary line of the growing sociality of social being, whose determining principle is the constant removal of natural barriers. We shall see that in this process it is the action of the productive forces on society that is the decisive social power that impels social development as a whole, through the increasing displacement of the naturalness operating in the first social formations, to enter the circulation of commodities and, through this, to achieve the pure sociability of capital. We shall also observe that the objective social progress to which the immanent development of the economic categories leads, on arriving at capitalism, reveals fundamental tendencies such as the predominance of relative surplus value in the extraction of surplus labor and manipulation as a mediation that articulates the needs of production to the consumption of commodities, the understanding of which is indispensable for the future of social reproduction as a whole.
