Resumo: | This paper discusses the concept of sonification aplied to the Sons de Silício exhibition and more specifically to the design of Buzu, an audiovisual installation that generates an auditory image of the São Paulo bus transportation system. Buzu makes perceptible information of both the system’s planning and behavior during a particular week in October 2017. The work is an artistic outcome of the InterSCity project, an inter‐institutional research initiative concerning the Future Internet and the Smart Cities. Along with the discussion of the Buzu creative process we will examine mining and processing strategies related to the sonification of big data, data‐to‐sound mapping methods, auditory structure for displaying the material and the public exhibition of the work in the context of an artistic event. |

Buzu hace que la información tanto sobre la planificación como sobre el comportamiento del sistema de transporte urbano sea perceptible durante una semana concreta de octubre de 2017. El trabajo es un resultado artístico del Proyecto InterSCity, una iniciativa de investigación interinstitucional sobre Internet del Futuro y Ciudades inteligentes. Además de discutir el proceso de creación de Buzu, examinaremos las estrategias de mapeo y procesamiento relacionadas con la sonificación de big data, el método de mapeo de sonido, la estructura auditiva para mostrar material y la visualización del trabajo. en el contexto de una exposición artística.Este artigo discute o conceito de sonificação aplicado à Exposição Sons de Silício e, mais especificamente, o design de Buzu, uma instalação audiovisual que gera uma imagem auditiva do sistema de transporte por ônibus urbano de São Paulo. Buzu torna perceptíveis as informações tanto do planejamento, quanto do comportamento do sistema de transporte urbano durante uma semana específica em outubro de 2017. O trabalho é um resultado artístico do Projeto InterSCity, uma iniciativa de pesquisa interinstitucional sobre a Internet do Futuro e as Cidades Inteligentes.
