Resumo: Promoting student retention is essential to ensure that everyone has access to quality education and equal opportunities. This is a challenge experienced by educational systems, being the subject of reflection and criticism. A dialogue that will certainly bring even more contributions to Brazilian education. Researching this subject is becoming more intriguing every day given the socio-historical context experienced by the Federal Institutes of Technical and Technological Education. Therefore, the objective of this review is to present the evaluation of the article “The Influence of teaching pedagogical practices on student evasion in the technical course” submitted to open evaluation by the journal Educação em Revista, linked to the Postgraduate Program in Education of the Faculty of Education (FAE) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) presenting the analysis of the proposal mainly with regard to teaching pedagogical practices.

La investigación sobre este tema resulta cada día más intrigante dado el contexto sociohistórico que viven los Institutos Federales de Educación Técnica y Tecnológica. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de esta revisión es presentar la evaluación del artículo “La Influencia de las prácticas pedagógicas docentes en la evasión de los estudiantes en el curso técnico” sometido a evaluación abierta por la revista Educação em Revista, vinculada al Programa de Postgrado en Educación de la Facultad de Educación (FAE) de la Universidad Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) presentando el análisis de la propuesta principalmente en lo que respecta a la enseñanza de las prácticas pedagógicas.Promover a permanência do estudante é fundamental para garantir que todos tenham acesso à educação de qualidade e oportunidades iguais. Esse é um desafio vivenciado pelos sistemas educacionais, sendo objeto de reflexões e críticas. Diálogo que certamente trará ainda mais contribuições à educação brasileira. Pesquisar este assunto é a cada dia mais instigante tendo em vista o contexto sócio-histórico vivenciado pelos Institutos Federais de Educação Técnica e Tecnológica.
