A importância e a valorização do ensino EAD

Resumo: The new technologies brought, from the second half of the twentieth century, innovations that had a huge impact on society, being considered "information age". At the beginning of the 21st century, higher education institutions, undergraduate and graduate courses in Distance Education, favored by the Law on Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDBEN) no. 9394/96, increased. (Art. 80). Distance Education courses aim at inclusion and accessibility to teaching, where THE assumes a relevant role in the educational context, making the teacher take on new roles and is indispensable for a good performance of students, which requires a good training and a profile appropriate to this modality. The continuous growth of this type of teaching is also of interest to ABED (Brazilian Association of Distance Learning), which led it to conduct continuous Censuses, such as the one in 2012/2013 to observe, through exploratory research, this evolution.

Neste início do século XXI aumentaram as instituições de nível superior, os cursos de graduação e pós-graduação em Educação a Distância, favorecidos pela Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (LDBEN) n. 9394/96. (Art. 80). Os cursos de Educação a Distância têm como objetivo a inclusão e a acessibilidade ao ensino, onde o EAD assume um papel relevante no contexto educacional, fazendo com que o professor assuma novos papéis e seja indispensável para que haja um bom desempenho dos alunos, o que exige do mesmo uma boa formação e um perfil adequado a essa modalidade.
