Perfil do discente de curso técnico de enfermagem em uma escola da região metropolitana de Belo Horizonte

Resumo: Given the necessity of creating an emancipatory educational project focusing on the student, it is essential to consider the characteristics of the student as a whole, knowing the reality and the sociocultural context in which it is inserted. This knowledge will assist the development and implementation of methodologies and teaching practices directed toward the same. From this reflection, we have identified our research problem: there are few records about the student profile of nursing technical course. Given this need, this study aimed to analyze the profile of students of nursing technical course of a school in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. We conducted a primary study, cross-sectional descriptive and quantitative approach. The study population consisted of 77 students from the nursing technician from 1st to 4th period, and frequent regularly enrolled at the school that provided the backdrop for the study. The sample consisted of all students present for the application of the questionnaire and who agreed to participate in the study as the term of consent, accounting for 62 students. Data were tabulated in absolute frequency and relative frequency, descriptively analyzed and compared with existing literature. The results of the socio-economic profile, expectations and difficulties of the student, punctuate the following findings: the majority of students were female (91.94%), more than half the students were Christians evangelicals (54.84%), the percentage of singles (41.94%) was very close to the married (40.32%), most students (22.58%) was in the range of 26 to 30 years and most respondents (61.29%) had one to three. The situation of the residence, 77.42% of students had their own house, and in relation to family income, more than half of the students survived on two to three minimum wages. Regarding the difficulties encountered by students to undertake a technical course in nursing, physical fatigue was the most cited, followed by travel costs and do not release the employer. In that refer to expectations, the students reported interest in working in nursing at the end of the course. They expect to complete the course with excellent utilization, performance and competence. They want professional achievement, success and a good job. The results highlight the importance and need for further studies related to the primary issue at hand, since the knowledge of the student profile favors the development of teaching learning process more fair and democratic.

Esse conhecimento auxiliará na elaboração e aplicação de metodologias e práticas pedagógicas direcionadas para o mesmo. Dessa reflexão, identificamos nosso problema de pesquisa: há poucos registros sobre o perfil do aluno de curso técnico de enfermagem. Diante desta necessidade, este estudo teve como objetivo analisar o perfil de alunos de curso técnico de enfermagem de uma escola da região metropolitana de Belo Horizonte. Foi realizado um estudo primário, descritivo e transversal com abordagem quantitativa. A população estudada foi constituída por 77 alunos do curso técnico de enfermagem, do 1º ao 4º período, regularmente matriculados e freqüentes na Escola que serviu de cenário para o estudo. A amostra foi composta por todos os alunos presentes no momento da aplicação do questionário e que concordaram em participar do estudo conforme o termo de consentimento livre e esclarecido, contabilizando 62 alunos. Os dados foram tabulados em freqüência absoluta e em freqüência relativa, analisados de forma descritiva e comparados com literatura existente. Nos resultados do perfil sócio econômico, das expectativas e das dificuldades do aluno, pontuamse os seguintes achados: a maioria dos discentes pertencia ao gênero feminino (91,94%), mais da metade dos discentes eram evangélicos (54,84%), o percentual de solteiros (41,94%) ficou muito próximo ao de casados (40,32%), a maior parte dos discentes (22,58%) encontrava-se na faixa de 26 a 30 anos e a maior parte dos entrevistados (61,29%) tinha de um a três filhos. Quanto à situação da residência, 77,42% dos discentes possuíam casa própria, e, em relação à renda familiar, mais da metade dos discentes sobreviviam com dois a três salários mínimos. Em relação às dificuldades encontradas pelos alunos para realizarem o curso técnico de enfermagem, o cansaço físico foi o mais citado, seguido do custo de deslocamento e da não liberação pelo empregador. No que se referem às expectativas, os alunos relataram interesse em atuar na enfermagem ao final do curso. Estes esperam concluir o curso com excelente aproveitamento, desempenho e competência. Desejam realização profissional, sucesso e um bom emprego.
