PERCEPTION OF TEACHERS FROM MARANHÃO REGARDING THE TEACHING OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION DURING AND POST-COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The year 2020 was marked by the health crisis resulting from Covid-19, causing changes in various sectors, including education. This study aimed to analyze the perception of teachers in Maranhão regarding the teaching of physical education during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. It was a field research with a quantitative-qualitative approach, conducted with 8 physical education teachers, using a mixed questionnaire. Participants reported challenges such as the lack of student participation in classes and the unavailability of internet access among the students. On the positive side, improvements were noted in the use of Information and Communication Technologies, the convenience of working from home, and the ability to address topics that were not possible in traditional in-person teaching. It can be concluded that during the pandemic, the need for remote teaching highlighted difficulties faced by both teachers and students in continuing the teaching-learning process.
