FEEDBACK AS A LEARNING TOOL IN THE SCHOOL CONTEXT: FROM THE PERFORMANCE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

Resumo: The study verified the perception of Physical Education teachers about the use of extrinsic feedback in the context of the classes of the municipal school network of Maringá-PR. Twenty physics teachers from the initial grades of elementary school were part of the research. As a data source, a questionnaire was developed, prepared by the researchers themselves, composed of open and closed questions. For data analysis we used descriptive statistics and categorical content analysis. The results show that all investigated teachers provide extrinsic feedback to the students in the Physical Education classes at school and consider the validity of offering information after performing an activity. The importance of motivating students in the face of satisfactory performances and of not punishing themselves in the face of unsatisfactory performances was identified. As a conclusion, it is indicated from the teachers' perception that extrinsic feedback is a tool that enhances the teaching-learning process.

Se formaron parte de la investigación 20 profesores de Educación Física de las series iniciales de la enseñanza fundamental. Como fuente de datos, se empleó un cuestionario compuesto por cuestiones abiertas y cerradas. Para el análisis de datos se recurrió a la estadística descriptiva simple y análisis de contenido del tipo categorial. Los resultados apuntan que el empleo de retroalimentación extrínseca por parte de los profesores ha contribuido a avances positivos en el desempeño de los alumnos, sean motores, conductuales y cognitivos. Se evidenció la importancia de motivar a los alumnos ante desempeños satisfactorios y de no castigar ante desempeños insatisfactorios. Se concluye que los profesores encuestados emplean el feedback extrínseco en sus clases y reconocen que esa herramienta potencia el proceso de aprendizaje.El estudio verificó la percepción de profesores de Educación Física sobre el empleo del feedback extrínseco en el contexto de las clases de la red municipal de enseñanza de Maringá-PR. Se formaron parte de la investigación 20 profesores de Educación Física de las series iniciales de la enseñanza fundamental. Como fuente de datos, se empleó un cuestionario, elaborado por los propios investigadores, compuesto por cuestiones abiertas y cerradas. Para el análisis de datos se recurrió a la estadística descriptiva y análisis de contenido del tipo categorial. Los resultados apuntan que la totalidad de profesores investigados proporcionan feedback extrínseco a los alumnos en las clases de Educación Física escolar y consideran la validez de ofrecer una información después de la realización de una actividad. Se identificó la importancia de motivar a los alumnos ante desempeños satisfactorios y de no castigar ante desempeños insatisfactorios.
