Resumo: The present work shows occurrences of neological processes expressed in the political language mostly in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok) and political-like journalistic text found in digital environment, in view of the discriminated words there. To this, the dynamic nature of language was considered, highlighting in this context the lexical innovation of the Portuguese, specifically, trough the many neological processes by which Portuguese speakers have utilized in the formation of new words. Alves (2004) stresses that neologisms can be created by resources from a language called autochthonous processes, or by lexical items from other linguistical systems. Thus, neological studies contribute to showing the dynamicity of a language and how it renovates itself by virtue of social and cultural relationships where individuals interact. The political context was chosen as a source of the origin of those words on account by their dynamicity which opens space to creation of new ways of expression and new notions about reality. Thus, in this work, we searched to describe the formation process by which new words in the Brazilian political language are created, such as: phonologic neologism, syntax neologism, semantic neologism, borrow neologism and other processes just like briefcase and truncation. With theorical apport from Alves (2007), Biderman (1978, 2001), Borba (2003), Carvalho (2009, 2021), Correia and Almeida (2012) etc. We concluded that utilization of neologisms is present in the interaction of Brazilian speakers in formal and informal political contexts and in the most diverse communicative moments. This work documents the creation of 135 neological formations.

Fundação Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do SulUFMSBrasilN/CA POLÍTICA EXPRESSA NA LÍNGUA: CONSTRUÇÕES LEXICAIS NA LINGUAGEM POLÍTICAinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisVanessa Hagemeyer BurgoGustavo Ribeiro Lourencoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFMSinstname:Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS)instacron:UFMSORIGINALTESE - GUSTAVO RIBEIRO .pdfTESE - GUSTAVO RIBEIRO .pdfapplication/pdf5474449https://repositorio.ufms.br/bitstream/123456789/5249/-1/TESE%20-%20GUSTAVO%20RIBEIRO%20.pdf24b4260fb5897e3a894a0e98a3c4c342MD5-1123456789/52492022-10-19 14:19:54.606oai:repositorio.ufms.br:123456789/5249Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.ufms.br/oai/requestri.prograd@ufms.bropendoar:21242022-10-19T18:19:54Repositório Institucional da UFMS - Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS)false
