Resumo: The influence of Platonic and Kantian doctrines in Schopenhauerian philosophy is notable, as well as the distancing that Arthur Schopenhauer establishes in relation to the philosophical tradition by attributing the unprecedented excellence of irrational desire in the face of the renowned principle of reason. In addition to the argumentation developed in his philosophical system regarding the studies undertaken to unveil "what" underlies the representations of the knowable world; which will be denominated Will. Thus, this scientific article aims to investigate the relationship between the world as representation and Will, and to highlight how this principle, by objectifying itself from a corporeal perspective, guides the movements and actions of the body directed towards the satisfaction of desires, which will provide an incessant cycle of wants and suffering to attain them. It is intended to demonstrate that the Schopenhauerian philosophical system is complex and intrinsically interconnected, much like the world, representations, the body, particular will, the essential Will, and aesthetic contemplation are, that is, intimately related.

Além da argumentação desenvolvida em seu sistema filosófico sobre os estudos empreendidos para desvendar “o quê” subjaz às representações do mundo cognoscível; que será denominado Vontade. Destarte, este artigo ambiciona apurar a relação do mundo enquanto representação e Vontade, e evidenciar a forma como esse princípio ao objetivar-se sob a perspectiva corpórea guia os movimentos e ações do corpo direcionando-os a satisfação de desejos, a qual proporcionará um ciclo incessante de quereres e sofrimento para alcançá-los.
