Resumo: The work was based on the area of ​​musical education, addressing certain perspectives on teaching and learning the musical instrument. The research process was carried out through a bibliographic review, with the objective of presenting material about the euphonium wind instrument, both from the point of view of some contextual aspects related to its development, as well as some technical aspects. Some aspects of the interpretation of the play The Green Hill, by Bert Appermont, which makes up the didactic Recital with which this present work is complemented, are also raised.

O processo de pesquisa foi realizado por meio de revisão bibliográfica, tendo como objetivo apresentar material acerca do instrumento de sopro eufônio, tanto do ponto de vista de alguns aspectos contextuais relacionados ao seu desenvolvimento, quanto sobre alguns aspectos técnicos.
