Qual o lugar da Educação Física na Base Nacional Comum Curricular?

This article aims to identify the place of Physical Education (PE) in the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). This work was characterized as a literature review through research related to the National Common Curricular Base document. a qualitative research was carried out with PE course students, seeking to understand what would be the students' understanding of the BNCC. Thus, we set out to find answers about the place of Physical Education in the Common Base. The results of the literature review indicate that PE is not aligned with the BNCC. The way in which PE is inserted in the BNCC, aimed at meeting skills and abilities, has little to contribute to fundamental changes in human experiences and values, in the search for the appreciation of body cultures that are directed towards human emancipation. Therefore, it is essential to recognize the body as a space of expression, which is re-signified in the face of world understandings.
