Ambiente alimentar na região circunvizinha da Escola Municipal Senador Darcy Ribeiro em Cuiabá-MT

Resumo: This study was carried out to evaluate the availability of processed and ultraprocessed foods in the perimeter of the Senador Darcy Ribeiro School located in Jardim Industriário I neighborhood in Cuiabá-MT and the nutritional status of the students. The geographical coordinates of the food trade located in a perimeter of 400 meters of the school were checked and data regarding the location and evaluation of these establishments were collected. The data were inserted in a Geographic Information System (GIS), in order to allow spatial analysis by mapping. In restaurants, bakery and markets, validated instruments were applied to evaluate food microenvironments adjusted to local reality. Subsequently, the analysis of anthropometric data for the nutritional evaluation of the students took place. For this, the students were divided into children from 5 to 10 years and adolescents over the age of 10 and under 20 years. It was found, through the mapping, that students presented easy access to establishments that commercialized large-scale processed and ultraprocessed foods. Regarding the nutritional status of schoolchildren, it was found that, of the total number of students analyzed, 644 students, 335 (52.1%) were male and 309 (47.9%) were female. The index of adequacy of nutritional status according to BMI in relation to age was 75.5% for men (H) and 70.8% for women (M), the leanness index was 6.8% ( H) and 4.5% (M), were overweight 8.6% (H) and 14.5% (M), and obese individuals were 8.9% (H) and 10.03% (M) .

Foram conferidas as coordenadas geográficas dos comércios de alimentos localizados em um perímetro de 400 metros da escola e coletados dados referentes a localização e avaliação destes estabelecimentos. Os dados foram inseridos em um Sistema de Informação Geográfica, a fim de permitir a análise espacial por mapeamento. Nos restaurantes, padaria e mercados foram aplicados instrumentos validados para avaliar microambientes alimentares ajustados para a realidade local. Posteriormente, ocorreu a análise de dados antropométricos para avaliação nutricional dos escolares. Para isto, os estudantes foram divididos em crianças de 5 a 9 anos e adolescentes com idade maior que 10 e menor que 20 anos. Constatou-se, por meio do mapeamento que os estudantes apresentavam acesso facilitado a estabelecimentos, que comercializavam em larga escala, alimentos processados e ultraprocessados. A respeito do estado nutricional dos escolares, observou-se que, do total de escolares analisados, 644 alunos, 335 (52,1%) são do sexo masculino e 309 (47,9%) são do sexo feminino.
