This work aims to analyze a women’s representation in Comics through the study of the discursive ethos. Faced with this thematically, the research problem that this study proposes to investigate is expressed as follows: what historical and historical aspects can be apprehended from the enunciative scenography of the comics and what identity complexion is inferred from the discursive ethos that crosses the construction of the women image in HQs? In this, the central objective of this study is to analyze the construction of women’s characters in comics from the enunciative-discursive configurations of this textual genre. The basis is the multimodality, studies according to the postulates of Kress and Van Leeuwen (2001; 2003; 2006), and is completed with the enunciative studies of Maingueneau (2005, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2015), in the categories of enunciative scenography and discursive ethos. The corpus of this research is composed of 4 strips of Turma da Mônica, by the cartoonist Mauricio de Sousa. The procedures for this work characterize it as descriptive, bibliographic and documentary, with a qualitative approach. The enunciative scenes dedicated to women’s representation make use of stereotypes already crystallized in the collective memory to guarantee the legitimacy of the enunciation. The multimodal aspects of comics are profitably used in this enunciative investment and result in an ethos still stereotyped and reduced to subservience.
