Microbiology has been increasingly related to multidisciplinary issues such as health, hygiene and environment, beyond the limits of higher education and laboratories, but microorganisms appear in the elementary and secondary education only as agents that cause diseases. To change this view, it is necessary to use methodologies to stimulate the scientific and critical character of the student. Practical activities are essential for the stimulation of microbiology learning, being pointed out as an effective teaching-learning strategy because it arouses greater interest and active participation of students. The new educational media associated with planning for simple actions in daily life should be part of the life of the school. The theory-practice relationship constitutes the background of resources understood as a teaching-learning strategy in a meaningful and articulated educational perspective with the world of work. Thus, it can be inferred that pedagogical planning is of paramount importance in the choice of methodological approaches for the teaching of microbiology.
