GEOMETRY IN NORMAL SCHOOLS FORMATION IN TIMES OF NEW SCHOOL: APPROPRIATIONS MINING IN 1930 DECADE

Resumo: | The article presents an analysis of the presence of geometry in the formation of primary teachers in the state of Minas Gerais in the 1930s, under the movement of the new school. Documents of Minas Gerais legislation on training primary teachers in the period were evaluated, when under the influence of the ideal of the new school reforms were implemented, accompanied with the creation of the Escola de Aperfeiçoamento and the Revista do Ensino in the 1920s. The Laws regulating the Escola de Aperfeiçoamento and volumes of the Revista do Ensino were also sources for the present study. Through analysis of the Revista do Ensino can be seen that one of the appropriations for the active teaching of geometry is the use of games as a methodology. Within the study of form, construction of a garden was one of the activities proposed to explore the concept of area of polygons and circles. |

Foram examinados documentos da legislação mineira sobre a formação de professores primários no período, quando sob a influência dos ideais escolanovistas, são implantadas reformas, acompanhadas da criação da Escola de Aperfeiçoamento e da Revista do Ensino na década de 1920. A legislação que regulamenta a Escola de Aperfeiçoamento e volumes da Revista do Ensino também constituíram fontes para o presente estudo. Por meio da análise da Revista do Ensino pode-se perceber que uma das apropriações para o ensino ativo de geometria é a utilização de jogos como metodologia.
